Cabinteely Contemporary Design

A striking contemporary style which combines black stained oak with white high gloss lacquer handless fronts and Silestone ‘Lyra’ worktops dramatically complementing the concrete floor.

The design started to develop after studying the architectural plans and following intensive consultations with the clients, based on our analysis form.

It emerged that this would be not only a family kitchen, with two children who like to help with the cooking, but through its open plan area incorporate both dining and entertaining space as well.

In composing a harmonious whole combining both the need for normal practical kitchen activities, and general family living, with the minimalist aesthetics, adequate storage was a key element.

This involved additional storage cupboards for general items and the creation of the black oak bulkhead which by extending over all the units unifies the space.

A couch nestled close to the wall of glass facing the garden offers a soft, snug option for reading or resting.

The Island offers a perfect work space with accessible storage with deep drawers and the Bora hob with self-extraction. Its bold black oak finish is highlighted by RGB strip lights in the plinth and large pendant lights which are both practical and stylish.

Cleverly the whole island is height adjustable to adapt to the differing heights of the clients.
